SOUTH BROCKWELLS FARM
Since opening in 1976, our award-winning, family-run working farm has been rooted in over 300 acres of beautiful East Sussex countryside raising sheep and pigs as well as providing a home for many horses in our livery yard. Over the years Arron has built a growing cross country course that is available for hire and events.
The Farm Shop is now open for monthly seasonal pop-up shops, showcasing our home reared produce and local wild game. Opening days and times will be advertised on our roadside blackboards and Facebook and Instagram pages. We also sell our home grown asparagus during the growing season.
The Poachers; Pocket is our mobile catering unit that is available to hire and is also often seen at our equestrian and family events serving our freshly cooked home produced sausages and burgers. Alongside this we are able to provide both Hog and Lamb spit roasts.
Awards
September 2022 we were delighted to be named Best Rural Business and overall Business of the Year at the Uckfield Business Awards, an achievement that meant so much to our team.
October 2022, we were honoured to receive the prestigious British Farming Award for Diversification of the Year, with nominations coming from across the UK.
In 2023 we were awarded the Clarissa Dickson Wright Award by the Countryside Alliance at the House of Lords. This esteemed accolade recognises individuals and businesses that embody the spirit of rural Britain and play a vital role in sustaining its communities.
We’re incredibly proud that the dedication of the South Brockwells team has been recognised on such a national stage.
We also took home the Countryside Alliance Award (Rural Oscar) for the South East in the Rural Enterprise category, part of the Alliance’s annual celebration of British food, farming, rural enterprise, and heritage.
These recognitions are a testament to the passion and hard work that drive everything we do at South Brockwells.

We specialise in selling our own home reared lamb, pork and goat meat, locally sourced game and homegrown vegetables and our famous asparagus.
