Farm School expansion news

We are excited to announce the expansion of South Brockwells Farm School and the launch of our satellite site: South Brockwells Farm School @ Hale Farm. 

In the last 18 months, we have had the pleasure of working with hundreds of children and young people from across East Sussex and with the launch of the Hale Farm site in January 2024, we are grateful that we will be able to work with and support even more children! Find out more about Farm School @ Hale Farm.

Mini Farmers Holiday Club

What an amazing 4 days we had during our Mini Farmers Holiday Club. I think it is fair to say that our absolute favourite surprise was a visit from a very special person! Arriving by our gorgeous Shetland - Boomer pulling an adapted sleigh, Santa and his elves brought a smile to all when he met our mini farmers.

Santa clearly knew that we have been busy learning about farming and food as all of our mini farmers went home with books about where food comes from! What a fantastic end to a busy mini farmer week! Thank you so much to Uckfield Chamber of Commerce and Uckfield & District Lions Club for helping us arrange this visit!

During our 4 days we had sunshine, showers and torrential rain but that didn't stop the fun and learning. Dens were built, Christmas decorations were made, fires lit, hot chocolate and marshmallows enjoyed, sheep herded, games played and sheltering in with the goats was just what we needed. #HAF2023

Gift a meal at Christmas - thank you!

By the end of our Christmas Mini Farmers Holiday Club over 100 family meal packs had been sent home with our mini farmers as part of our Gift a meal at Christmas campaign,. Seeing children cooking and learning life skills, trying and eating a range of foods and understanding where that food has come from, following recipes, eating healthy meals and cooking for their families is just brilliant And it’s even better knowing that those meals have come straight from the farm.

Thank you to Lewes Food Partnership , 3VA - Voluntary Action in Eastbourne, Lewes and Wealden and the generosity of our customers for their donations to our Gift a Meal at Christmas campaign. Thank you also to Lydfords Care Home - Barchester Healthcare for preparing the recipe cards with your residents for our mini farmers to follow and to South Brockwells Farm Shop who prepped them all!

Farm shop news

Thank you for all your support during 2023. We greatly appreciate being recognised for our hard work with many award wins across our fabulous farm. The welfare of our animals is of utmost importance to us and this comes through in the taste of our homegrown meats. It is this time and care that has helped us to be recognised for our quality. We thank you for your support, your votes and your loyalty and hope that 2024 brings success and happiness to you all.

New year opening hours

As we head towards the end of the game season why not try our Beater's Batons or Pheasant Royals - delicious new ways to enjoy pheasant. Look out for our special deals on wild game and don't forget our award winning sausage rolls and pasties!

Farm news - Christmas tree request

During the winter months our goats are tucked up in the warm in our barns but they do miss their greenery. If you have a Christmas tree that you are finished with and you are happy to drop it off at the farm, our goats would be very grateful!
