It's BBQ season at South Brockwells Farm

It's time to get sizzling with our delicious BBQ favourites to enjoy with both family and friends. Marinated rosemary and garlic lamb, BBQ pork kebabs, pork sausages and handmade burgers are all available in the farm shop. Don't forget all of our meats are home-reared and free range.

Also returning are our famous wild local venison sausages and burgers. If you like to add vegetables to your BBQ, deliciously sweet sweetcorn from our neighbours at Cluver Farm, Barcombe, is now available in the farm shop.

Delicious oven ready food to cook at home

Working with our talented friend and private chef, Angela Carter, we are developing an oven ready range of foods to cook at home. This month we are offering Kashmiri Chicken kebabs and Wild Tandoori Wood Pigeon. These mouthwatering dishes are easy to cook at home and absolutely delicious!

Award winning new season lamb

Our new season lamb is now available from the butcher's counter or to order for your freezer. To order please email: farmshops@southbrockwellsfarm.com or call 07355 167323.

Enjoy delicious, freshly prepared food at our Cafe

Summer also means more fun in the sun at our Farm Shop Cafe which is open every Wednesday to Friday offering a cuppa and cake and delicious brunch from 10 am on Saturdays and Sundays.

Our brunch menu offers seasonal specials such as pan seared pigeon breasts on home grown rocket and local sourdough with a blackcurrant Jus, alongside our ultimate burger and epic BLT! All our dishes are created to showcase our fresh, homegrown ingredients.

School Farms Network student of the year!

It was a very special moment to award this young man with the Student of the Year Accolade from School Farms Network Forum Social Farms & Gardens.

The School Farms Awards celebrate the outstanding achievements of schools, teachers and students who have farms included as part of their education provision and the diversity of the types and uses of school farms and land-based education across the UK.

Caroline was pleased to present at the Schools Farm Network conference at the Royal Agricultural University and share our journey and learning as a relatively new farm school working with children and young people.

It was great to hear all the fantastic work that goes on at farms across the country. We were delighted to attend the award ceremony where we were runners up in the 'Most inspirational educational farm or garden' category!

The sun shone at our Sheep racing & family fun day

Thank you to everyone who came to our Sheep Racing & Family Fun Day!

We enjoyed a great day of watching the sock lambs race, shearing Felix and his friends, delicious spit roasts, shopping at lovely local trade stands and farm shop, face painting, crafts, tombolla and more. Don't worry if you missed it, our next event is on Saturday 19th August. Tickets are available to buy here

Equestrian events at South Brockwells Farm

After a delayed start due to the very wet Spring, we finally kicked off our very popular equestrian events.

Our first event was a Hunter Trial which was well attended with lots of happy, smiley faces at the end of the event. It was lovely to see young riders gaining confidence with their jumping and more experienced riders enjoying the challenges of some of Arran's fantastic fences built here on the farm.

Our Summer Fun Horse Show featured in hand shaving, show jumping and even a fancy dress extravaganza which is always a favourite!

We also held our much anticipated One Day Event which combines Dressage (which takes precision and concentration), followed by show jumping and finishing on our stunning Cross Country Course.

All of our equestrian events are designed to build confidence ensuring that all our riders go home feeling that they have achieved something.

A massive thank you to our brilliant team of staff and volunteers that make it all possible.
